THE “ANTI-DOCUMENT”

Photography isn't just a document.

It is not a document at all as its hidden parts are greater than its visible ones.

For me a photograph is an "anti-document" as it reveals nothing of the true lived event in the past.

A photograph is only a trigger to the bringing to life of a whole set of images kept in one's memory.

What we take with our camera is what we want to remember for the rest of our lives yet not necessarily what really happened.

this is the tragic fact about photography.
